Cha Cha Matcha

Are you mad for matcha?

Are you familiar with matcha yet? This finely milled Japanse green tea leaf calms and focuses the brain. Matcha is one of the most naturally antioxidant-dense foods on the planet. At Cha Cha Matcha the positive mental effects of matcha are adapted to the trendy lifestyle of New Yorkers. The matcha cappuccinos, matcha lattes, matcha ice-cream and matcha doughssants (a cross between a donut and a croissant) may not always be as tasty, but combined with the quirky pink design and the many VIP’s visiting the shop it is absolutely worthwhile to mention your Cha Cha Matcha visit and matcha-purchase on Instagram #thankyousomatcha!

Chinese Tuxedo

Modern Chinese

Chinese Tuxedo can certainly be considered one of the best upcoming food concepts in New York. The restaurant is founded by the Australian restaurateur Eddy Buckinham and his Chinese associate Jeff Lam. Together they transformed traditional Chinese dining into modern times. Traditional flavors and ancient recipes prepared and served in a new way. New Yorkers love this place because of the modern design and the fact that all dishes can be shared together, giving guests the opportunity to taste multiple surprising new flavor combinations.

All vegetables are ethically butchered

The Butcher’s Daughter calls itself a ‘vegetable slaughter house’. This all-day lunchroom serves creative vegetarian meals and refreshing juices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and (weekend) brunch. Designed to be a feminine take on an old butcher’s shop, nowadays the place is brimming with both women and men from early morning until late evening. The Butcher’s Daughter is the perfect example of the fact that in New York vegetarian food is not unusual or only intended for health freaks, but rather that it is a trendy and a very common choice!

Fish are friends, not food

Beyond sushi serves traditional Japanese sushi in a new jacket, a plant-based jacket. It is the mission of founder Guy Vaknin to popularize a modern and sustainable approach to traditional sushi by crafting intricate and wholesome 100% vegan dishes that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate and the planet. New Yorkers are choosing this transformation of a traditional dish en masse, as evidenced by the fact Beyond Sushi already has four outposts spread over Manhattan.
