Food Inspiration went on a trend tour in Seattle. At Pike Place Market, we encountered Kitchen & Market, a new concept that is a mixture between a deli and a neighborhood grocery store. Food Inspiration spoke with founder and CEO Stephanie King. “This is my dream supermarket!”

Kitchen & Market resembles a combination of Dean & DeLuca and Trader Joe’s. The concept looks fresh, is spacious and exudes quality and speed. The store covers about 5,000 square feet and carries less than 1,000 products that are carefully selected by Stephanie King and her team. Many of the products help buyers with a familiar question - what should we eat for dinner? "The emphasis is on local food, the best Seattle and the surrounding area has to offer," King says.
